IF’S AND BUT’S SITUATION IN THE PSL

Today is the last day of the league matches of PSL and then the top 4 teams will play the Playoffs of the league.The 1st playoff will be in Dubai and the next two matches will be played in Pakistan. Two teams have already qualified for the playoffs but the other two teams yet to be decided. Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United have already qualified for the playoffs, Islamabad United tops the table with 14 points followed by Gladiators who ended up with 10 points. Karachi Kings are at 3rd position in the points table with 9 points same as Multan Sultans who are at the 4th place in the points table, but because Karachi has a good run rate than Multan so they have been place at 3rd.


Quetta and Multan have played their respective 10 matches of the league stage the other 4 teams have played 9, 9 matches each. They will play their last matches today. Today’s 1st match will be played between Peshawar Zalmi and Lahore Qalanders , Lahore Qalanders are already out of the tournament but Peshawar has a chance to make it into the playoffs. If Peshawar wins they will qualify for the playoffs. And if Lahore wins that match then Karachi and Multan will qualify.

Now let’s say Peshawar wins that match, so it will be a do or die match for the Karachi Kings against Islamabad United later tonight. Or Karachi has to make sure that they will lose that match with a less margin so that they will keep a good run rate than Multan Sultan.
Multan Sultans situation is that they have already played there 10 matches of the league stage with 9 points, they already are praying for a Lahore Qalanders win against Zalmi this result will take Multan and Karachi to the playoffs even if Karachi lose the match against Islamabad united later tonight.
To make PSL more Spicy and interesting Peshawar should win the 1st match against Lahore today and make it a do or die match for Karachi Kings.
