PSL 3 SO FAR - STATS
It all started on February 22 in Dubai between the defending
champions Peshawar Zalmi and the Debut team of the PSL Multan Sultans. PSL has
always produced young and new talent for Pakistan Cricket. The list begins From
Hassan Ali, Rumman Raees, Asghar, Muhammad Nawaz, Shadab,Fahim Ashraf, Hussain
Talat, Muhammad Ifran Jr and the likes of Hasan Khan, they all were noticed in
the previous 2 season of the PSL and most have them have already played for the
green caps at international level specially Shadab, Hassan Ali and Fahim are regularly
part of the team in the limited overs.
Now if we talk about PSL 3, it also has produced some extra
ordinary talent, the likes of Shaheen Afridi, Agha Salman, Ibtisam Sheikh and
Umaid Asif have really impressed with their performances.
But it’s not only the young guns who have performed in this
PSL the veterans have also produced some top performances. The likes of Shahid
Afridi, Sangakkara, Darren Sammy, Muhammad Sami, Kamran Akmal, Dwayne Smith and
Shane Watson have shown that they still have the passion to play it like
Champions.
Lets take a look at the Stats so far in this PSL you
will see a combination of Young and old Players in the top 5 of every category.
1. Most Runs

With 347 runs in 10 matches the Peshawar Zalmi opening
batsman and wicket keeper Kamran Akmal tops the list for most runs in the PSL
so far. He averages 43.37 with a strike rate of 145.79. He is the only player
so far who has score a century in this PSL.
Babar Azam is placed 2nd in the list; he has
score 339 runs at an average of 42.37 followed by Gladiators opener Shane
Watson who has 319 runs under his belt so far at an average of 35.44. Luke
Ronchi who started this PSL with two back to back ducks recovered well and is
placed 4th in the list of most runs in the PSL so far. Qalandars opener
Fakhar Zaman is placed at 5th in the list with 277 runs at an
average of 27.70.
2. Highest Strike Rates (min 50 Balls)

T20 cricket is all about striking the ball. And you will
mostly see six hitting players in this list. The list begins with the pinch
hitter batsman Darren Sammy, who has a strike Rate of 200.00, 2nd on
the list is Ronchi who strikes it at 166.09 per 100 balls followed by the Kiwi
Batsman Devcich with a strike Rate 158.06, Asif Ali of Islamabad United is at 5th
in the list with a SR of 155.83.
3. Most Sixes
Quetta Gladiators opener Shane Watson tops the list with 22 sixes;
Kamran Akmal 20 Sixes, Dwayne Smith and Fakhar Zaman both have 16 sixes each, Ronchi
is placed at 5th in the list with 14 Sixes.

Now lets take a look at the bowling stats, experts have already declared
that, Bowling in PSL is better than any other league.
1. Most Wickets
The Islamabad United all-rounder Fahim Ashraf tops the list
with 16 wickets in 10 matches , 2nd on the list is Karachi Kings
fast bowler Usman Khan Shinwari with 14 wickets, 3rd on the list is
Wahab Riaz who also has 14 wickets but in 10 matches as compared to Shinwari’s
8 matches.

At 4th place is the leggie from Karachi Kings Shahid Khan
Afridi who has 13 wickets under his belt. Imran Tahir whose team is out of the
tournament has 13 wickets as well.
2. Best Economy Rates (Mini 10 overs)
Muhammad Nawaz tops the list with an Economy rate of 5.46
followed by Shahid Afridi who has a 5.93 Economy Rate. Nawaz and Afridi are the
only bowlers who has an economy rate of under 6 runs per over.

3rd on the list is another mystery spinner Sunil
Narine who has an economy rate of exactly 6.00. Muhammad Irfan from Multan
Sultans team has an economy rate of 6.33 and has placed at 5th in
the list.
