THE “EL-CLASICO” OF PSL MATCHES

Image
Peshawar one of the beautiful cities and the capital of the Pakistani province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Quetta is the Capital of Balochistan the southern province of Pakistan. Quetta was known as the little Paris back in the days, the word Quetta is taken from Balochi Language “Koh E Taha” which means between the Mountains. “Koh” in Balochi means “Mountains” and “Taha” means In between. If you look at Quetta geographically it is surrounded by mountains. Anyhow let’s talk about the respective teams of both the provinces Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators, who have produced some nail biting thriller matches in all the seasons of HBL PSL T20. No wonder people call it the “El-Clasico” of the PSL matches whenever they play against each other.   “ El-Clasico is the name given in football to any match between fierce rivals Real Madrid and FC Barcelona”. HEAD TO HEAD Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators have played 10 matches against each other so far in the Pakista...

GADDAFI STADIUM ALL SET TO HOST THE 1ST ELIMINATOR

Image
The 1st Eliminator will be played between Peshawar Zalmi vs Quetta Gladiators today at the historic Gaddafi Stadium Lahore, both teams finished with 10 points each in the group stages but because Zalmi had a better net run rate they were placed 3rd and Gladiators 4th. Gaddafi Stadium Peshawar Zalmi has an advantage that their all foreign players have agreed to travel to Pakistan. Gladiators Shane Watson, Kevin Peterson, Jason Roy and Ben Laughlin have shown no interest in travelling to Pakistan.   The replacements for these players are Tom Kohler, J Charles, T Perera, Mahmudullah and Chris Green. Peshawar Zalmi looks stronger than Quetta Gladiators on paper but Gladiators have a very balanced  side too. Will be hell of a Match under the artificial lights with a full crowd.
