On Monday Rabada’s hearing was conducted via video
conference which lasted more than six hours, Dali Mpofu, the high profile south
African legal advocate defended Rabada’s case, initially Rabada had been given
three demerit points by the match referee Jeff Crow but the hearing his level 2
charge for physical contact was downgraded to a level 1 charge with a 25% match
fee fine, which means his demerit points total dips below the threshold which
allowed him to play in the Cape Town test against Australia.

Moosajee South Africa’s team manager who was also present in
the hearing along with the South African team captain Faf du Plessis said that,
“we have put our side of story in front of the Judicial commissioner now it’s
up to him to stand on what he thinks.”
Moosajee further said, that we said it from the beginning,
he needs to make sure he plans as if he’s is going to play. I thing everyone
wants to see him playing and it would be fantastic to see him on the field
ICC shortly will release the full judgement which was made
